Buffon "has no price-tag"

Gianluigi Buffon is �not for sale at any price,� warns Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli.

The sudden influx of cash at Manchester City has prompted transfer rumours including a �60m bid for Buffon and a �100m offer for Milan star Kaka.

�I am not interested what price we could get for Buffon, he�s not leaving Juve,� assured the patron on Sky Italia television.

�I am only interested in having him here with us, as a player, a person and a foundation block of this Juventus.�

The goalkeeper opted to stay with the Bianconeri even after their demotion to Serie B in the Calciopoli scandal just weeks after he lifted the World Cup.

Buffon also stated this week that it was �fantasy football� and he was not remotely interested in a switch to Manchester.

He was one of the heroes for Italy in last night�s 2-1 win away to Cyprus, performing several crucial saves.

�I am happy that Buffon contributed to the Nazionale�s victory with his great performance,� added Cobolli Gigli.

�We are simply not interested in any offers for him, just as we rejected all bids for David Trezeguet this summer.�

Don't get me wrong guys, I generally tend to agree with morra's viewpoint. Certainly anything can be categorised under "Probability". Although what matters here isn't whether Juventus reaching the final of the CL is probable or not, because it's absolutely a probability. The more accurate question here shall be "What are the odds of Juventus to reach the final of the CL in Rome?". In my opinion, at least 7 teams - Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Barcelona, Liverpool, Inter & Bayern Munich - have higher odds than us to reach the final. Even though, neither me nor anyone else can sensibly argue about Juventus not being eager to prove themselves amongst Europe's most prestigious clubs and not having the right mentality to win, but the road is too long and Juventus firstly have to show their hunger and solidity in the group stage. Then we, Juventini, can optimistically expect an increase in the odds of our team.

Ricardo Quaresma has played only one friendly match in the Inter jersey, but already won over President Massimo Moratti and the fans.

Yes, I would've, aba. Much like I would have ripped Cassetti had he put in the same type performances that Cicinho put in last season. The difference between us here, as I see it, is that I'm willing to call out Cassetti if he has a bad game, but you seem to give a Cicinho a pass no matter how bad he plays.

No.. i just dont throw a fit when he commits a mistake that we know is his weakness.. I was a big critic of his in the initial months, but the only difference is, i wasnt calling for his head and calling him a watse of money within his first 3 months... had we all been that patient then the likes of mexes and vucinic would have been plying their trade for us.

Vialli: Amauri is the new me!

Gianluca Vialli is won over by the new Juventus and sees summer signing Amauri as his heir to the Turin throne.

�This year Juve will return to battle for two trophies they had been out of for some time and to achieve that they need the right mental attitude and facilities, especially in attack,� the former Bianconeri hero told Tuttosport.

�This is why Juventus did so well to invest in Amauri. At first glance he may look like a playboy, but all joking aside he is an excellent striker and I see myself in him.

The Turin giants are back in the Champions League and Scudetto race, so have invested heavily on the transfer market.

Vialli did see some weaknesses in Claudio Ranieri�s outfit, but also had praise for someone who has been treated unfairly in the media.

�The one area where I think they are lacking is the full-backs. Juventus would need someone like Inter�s Douglas Maicon and Maxwell, who the Nerazzurri did well to pick up on free transfers.

�Zdenek Grygera and Cristian Molinaro are good, but in that section Juve could improve.�

Quite frankly, I'm proudly and unresistingly one of them.
