Class thread Aba, class. I know I know, I was also thinking what the fock do we need a Lazio thread for (the same with a Fiorentina or Palermo thread, which I originally included but have since removed), but in the interest of fairness, being 'SerieA' forums, I think its only right. A dirty-pig-farming-merda-muncher club with "cohrent and intelligent" (wtf!?!) fans they may be, but they are still a relatively big Serie A club.

And wait, actually, hold on a friggin minute, I made a big post in the Website Updates and Announcements thread, detailing and asking what everyone else wants to see, but so far NO ONE has replied, so how am I to know? Feckers. Better be careful or I'll change everything and only leave LitM/Bulmers/FatherTed/Tool threads... :rantin:

The only thing Roman about this guy is the constant ass-ramming he receives like the women in Caligula. Out of everyone I haven't seen in a while, I miss him the most. Maro is too corny for my taste.

lazio drew 1-1 with bucharest in rome today in the first leg of the champions league group stage qualifier. that's pretty fucking weak. it would be an embarrassment if they don't squeak into the group stages.

lazio had a penalty that could have won it but was saved, but the ref should have made them retake it as there were at least two romanian players level with the shooter in the box before he even made contact with it. the referee really botched the whole game: two reds to lazio and one to bucharest.

except that next year's final will be in moscow. still, i have a hard time seeing lazio get themselves out of the group stages, much less winning it all. stranger things have happened, i suppose, so it's not completely impossible.

Lazio Face UEFA Probe Into Racist Chanting

UEFA are to launch an investigation into crowd problems and racist chanting during Lazio's encounter with Dinamo Bucharest in the Champions League.

The European governing body will review the events that saw five Romanians injured in clashes outside the stadium and racist chants heard inside the ground.

Earlier this months, clubs were threatened with being thrown out of competitions in the case of any racist or violent behaviour either on or off the pitch.

"We have to await the referee and observer reports before deciding whether to launch any disciplinary action but we are looking into what went on at Lazio," a UEFA spokesman said.

"If the violence happened outside of the ground then unfortunately that is a matter for the police and authorities in Italy.

"But we had concerns about racism before the game and if that is the case, then as you know we take a zero tolerance approach on racism."

Lazio have faced the wrath of UEFA on three previous occasions and were forced to play behind closed doors after racist abuse and crowd disorder during a UEFA Cup encounter in 2004.

"There is no doubt that there is a violent history surrounding Lazio fans and we always seem to have problems. In fact there was a question mark hanging over their stadium before this game," the UEFA spokesman continued.

"But UEFA can not deal with this alone, it is a wider, social problem across many countries which needs to be tackled in a very tough way by all the authorities."

Could someone do me a favour and set up a proper Lazio thread for discussion? Vtec? It just wouldn't seem right having a romanisti name beside such a thread, and certainly I don't want mine having anything to do with it, but in the interest if progression a proper Lazio thread is required, I think. Not that I actually know one proper Lazio supporter, come to think of it, but anyway...
