I was just checking out Lippi's squads for the Northern Ireland friendly and the Confederations Cup, and in it there areFIVE, yes five, ex-giallorosso youth players who we let go through the years:
D’Agostino (Udinese), Galloppa (Siena), Amelia (Palermo); Chiellini (Juventus), Pepe (Udinese)
Granted, Chiellini may not have technically been a youth product, but we had him for a while, and perhaps players the calibre of Galloppa and D’Agostino won't quite make the Azzurri squad for a meaningful game, but still it saddens the heart a little to see so many ex-primavera players who have slipped through the net.
